Saint Paul's Church Monaco

Sunday Club year-end celebrations

Sunday Club at Saint Paul's

Children are always welcome at Saint Paul's and we have a very active Sunday Club. The Chaplain usually begins the Sunday morning Family Service (10:30 a.m.) with a short talk with the children. Then off the children go for a short session (30-40 minutes) of Sunday Club under the careful supervision of parent volunteer teachers. The children return to church at Communion time, with children from age 7 encouraged to share in the sacrament while younger children receive a blessing from the Chaplain.

Sunday School preparing the Nativity Play

Highlights of the Sunday Club year include the annual Nativity Play (second Sunday in December), a Sunday School family ski trip (end January), a special Mothering Sunday service (4th Sunday in Lent), the Easter Sunday Easter egg hunt, and the Sunday School picnic (in June).

From Mirella Favory, our Sunday Club teacher:

Children are always welcome at Saint Paul's as we have a very active Sunday Club. The Chaplain usually begins the Sunday morning Family Service at 10:30 a.m.) sometimes following a short talk with the children or during the peace offering, the children are then escorted to the library for a short session lasting around 20 – 30 minutes of religious education under the careful supervision of our official Sunday club teacher Mirella Favory. The children are then escorted back into the church in time for Communion, either relocated with parents or from the of age 7 are encouraged to share in the sacrament while younger children receive a blessing from the Chaplain. Towards the end of the service the children are sometimes regrouped towards the front of the church for a brief interactive presentation with the chaplain on what they had learnt during Sunday club.

Generally, the highlights throughout the Sunday Club year, include the annual Nativity Play usually second Sunday in December, a Sunday club family ski trip, a special Mothering Sunday service usually 4th Sunday in Lent, the Easter Sunday egg hunt, and the Sunday club picnic.

Beginning of 2016, Mirella Favory, joined us as our official Sunday club (school) teacher here at Saint Paul’s church in Monaco.

Mirella writes: -
It’s a real joy for me to spend time with the children discussing about various Bible lessons. Our work till now have been focused on different topics such as
 “Jesus is my friend”,
“the miracles done by Jesus”,
“Be honest when you pray”

I really cherish every moment for it’s such a blessing for me to work
for the Almighty in the vineyard with lovely children, The class is always very lively and funny too. I believe it is a great thing getting children together in a friendly atmosphere while they learn about Jesus and building their relationship with Him.

1 Corinthian 15:18
“Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”

With a humble heart, I pray that my teaching will help children grow beautifully in their Christian life and that they carry God’s word wherever they go.
I thank the church for giving me such wonderful work. It’s a privilege to share the word of God and to talk about Jesus, the Messiah to young ones.
All young children of any age are very welcome to join the Sunday club,
to join just turn up on Sunday just before the Family Communion service at 10;30
