Sunday School at Saint Paul's
Children are always welcome at Saint Paul's and we have a very active Sunday School. The Chaplain usually begins the Sunday morning Family Service (10:30 a.m.) with a short talk with the children. Then off the children go for a short session (30-40 minutes) of Sunday School under the supervision of a parent volunteer teacher. The children return to church at Communion time, with children from age 7 encouraged to share in the sacrament while younger children receive a blessing from the Chaplain.
Highlights of the Sunday School year include the annual Nativity Play (second Sunday in December), a Sunday School family ski trip (end January), a special Mothering Sunday service (4th Sunday in Lent), the Easter Sunday Easter egg hunt, and the Sunday School picnic (in June).
Sunday School Helper
In
September 2010, Robie Angelus-Ramirez began work as our Sunday School
Helper lending her talents as a pianist and worship leader to support
the work of the parent volunteers who lead Sunday School sessions. Robie
is on hand to help parent volunteers set up for Sunday School and
welcome the children. Robie usually leads the children in learning and
singing hymns of praise in preparation for our regular Children's
Celebrations. Once the parent volunteer begins the formal Sunday School
lesson, Robie is ready to lend a hand in activities and group work, and
she stays behind to tidy up when the parent teacher and the children
return to the Sunday service. Welcome to St Paul's Robie!
