Saint Paul's Church Monaco

Wedding at Saint Paul's

The Wedding Ministry at Saint Paul's

Couples have been coming to Saint Paul's for 85 years to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Matrimony. In Monaco, only the blessing of a marriage takes place in church. Couples must first arrange a civil ceremony at "La Mairie" (city hall) in Monaco, or in the home country. Weddings normally take the form of the simple wedding office, but it is also possible to celebrate a new marriage with Holy Communion. While wedding celebrations are normally in English, it is also possible to celebrate a wedding in French or include other languages and traditions. Couples are expected to undergo some form of preparation for conjugal life either in the form of pre-marital counselling or a marriage preparation course.
