Christingle work party (party!)

Many hands made light work on Christmas Eve in the morning as 60 Christingle oranges were prepared and decorated (with candy!) for the annual Christmas Eve Children's Christingle service. According to tradition, one little boy in Bethlehem wanted to bring a gift to the baby Jesus but he was so poor all he could do was bring an orange from his father's garden. The oranges are surrounded by a red ribbon: ring of unending love, and toothpicks pointing in the four cardinal directions are crammed with candy.

One of our largest congregations ever attended the Christmas Eve Christingle service (36 children and 24 adults) this year.

Everything is ready now for Christmas Eve and Christingle!
