Father Walter blesses the lady bug

For the second (almost annual) Blessing of the Animals (2 October 2011), six dogs, two turtles and a variety of stuffed animals -- including the lady bug Father Walter is holding here -- were presented for the blessing.

Sunday School kids

The children joined Father Walter and our guest preacher, Father Phil, as they went around the church to bless each of the animals present for the service.

Our guest preacher, Fr Phil Brochard is pictured here with his sons Jonah & Ben and their new friend Sparky. The Brochard family are on sabbatical leave from Fr Phil's parish work as Rector of All Souls' Church in Berkeley California.
